FanFood Partners with Georgia Kangaroos to Benefit Local Businesses

    Kangaroo Cares Campaign 16_9-02

Lithonia, GA - Georgia Kangaroos, a men’s professional basketball team, partners with FanFood, a commission-free mobile ordering platform, to help local restaurants stay open with contactless and curbside pickup in an initiative called “Kangaroo CARES Campaign”.

The Campaign aims to enable local restaurants to receive mobile and online orders, while offering curbside pickup during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Restaurants in Stonecrest can sign up for free to use FanFood’s mobile ordering platform and keep 100% of the revenue and tips. The platform’s monthly licensing fee is covered by the Kangaroos in an attempt to support the local community. Compared to other third-party delivery apps that charge a revenue share, such as UberEats and Grubhub, FanFood is a much more cost-effective and friendly platform for local businesses to get on.

“People make the community great. We want to make our community stronger than before by having a dedicated focus on eating and shopping locally,” said Brian Caswell, Director of Basketball Operations at Georgia Kangaroos. “Our small businesses play a major role in our economy and we must show our support by doing business with them.”

Customers can search for local restaurants on the FanFood app and order from their homes. They will get a text notification when their food is ready, and receive it via contactless in-store pickup or curbside delivery. Georgia Kangaroos is also helping local businesses promote their special menu items, discounts and other marketing messages as an advertisement distributor. Meanwhile, FanFood will sponsor up to $2,000 in promo codes for each participating restaurant to incentivize first-time orders.

“FanFood is all about empowering partners to offer contactless services and grow revenue through mobile ordering,” said Carson Goodale, CEO of FanFood. “We’re excited to have like-minded partners like the Georgia Kangaroos that share the same mission as us. We can’t wait to see more businesses up and running on our platform.”

FanFood is operating at over 130 venues nationwide, ranging from high schools and universities all the way to arenas and pro stadiums. In lieu of the recent COVID-19 outbreak, FanFood has launched a Local Business Relief Package where local businesses can use the mobile ordering platform for free for 60 days, and receive sponsored promo codes to drive more orders. In addition, FanFood donates a meal through a partnership with Feeding America for every order placed on the platform.
